I also photograph Wild Birds and Sea Ducks & other domestic pets.  I never turn down a pet owner, no matter what.  So when I had an occasion to do a photo shoot of a 'pet rat' I didn't hesitate for a second.  Of course I'll photograph the little guy.  He was a much loved little Hooded Rat named 'Hoodsie'.   He was very sweet, if you can say that about a rat.  But these pet rats are sweet and cuddly.   That made the photo session a little more difficult to shoot because Hoodsie  really liked to cuddle in his owners sleeves.  It was December after all,  so..  well, it was nice and warm under that comfy wool sweater.  We managed just the same and finally enticed Hoodsie out with some treats, just long enough for  a couple of clicks.
